GMC GID850 850W Hammer Drill
The GID850 Corded Hammer Drill from GMC provides the consistent, unrelenting drilling power that corded drills offer over the numerous cordless varieties.
Hammer drills are designed to drill into bricks, blocks and other masonry, and using a cordless version would mean the batteries are bled dry in next to no time. Corded versions have the benefit of never running out of charge, as well as providing consistent power.
The GID850 delivers a maximum speed (without load) of 3000rpm, and its weight of 3.19kg provides the solid backing to drill into the hardest materials.
Two separate functions allow an instant switch between rotary and hammer drilling, allowing work in a wide variety of materials in just the one tool. Maximum drilling capacity (bit width) in wood is 40mm, 20mm in masonry and 13mm in metals.
The reverse drilling mode becomes invaluable when working with denser materials, allowing the drilled hole to be quickly cleared when pulling-out - reducing the risk of damage to your drill bit.
A fully-adjustable side handle affords the user total comfort and control, while the depth gauge ensures accurate drilling to a pre-set depth.
Operation is engaged by a traditional trigger switch function, which can be locked-on during longer periods of use.
The standard 13mm keyless chuck allows compatibility with the vast majority of drill bits on offer in today's market, including Silverline's mixed set for a variety of tasks (Code 633805).
